Mountain Goat was founded by Makis Logiotatidis, a certified mountain leader, ski patroller and ski instructor, with many years of experience in the mountains. Makis often went hiking and skiing as a child, to Mt. Olympus and Mt. Vermio, close to his hometown of Thessaloniki.

Growing up, Makis discovered that living in nature and walking the mountains made him much happier, so he soon left the crowded city for a freer lifestyle.

He worked in many parts of Greece as a guide and a ski instructor, before moving to Austria for three years, during which he gained certification in both these fields.

In 2004 he decided to move to Pindos mountains and wishing to combine his two big loves, mountaineering and skiing, he created Mountain Goat. ....less

So what we do? Since 2006 Mountain Goat organises, hiking/trekking, ski and snowshoe tours mostly on the north Pindos. Through out the years we explored and reached new areas, which gave us great feedback, and we decided to share with our guests! From our pation for mountainsports, we wanted to show the world that there is another part of Greece, really worth visiting, because it is still authentic, not harmed from the mass tourism, and it is well hidden behind the unknown mountains of Greece! ....less

We are following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, in which at the moment ,
travellers visiting Greece are no longer required to fill out the Passenger Locator Form (PLF).

Additionally, for as long as the epidemiological data allow so, all travellers arriving in Greece, regardless of their country of origin, are no longer required to display a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from SARS-CoV-2 infection (PCR or Rapid Antigen test).

However, a simplified PLF remains in operation, the completion of which is OPTIONAL, for the sole purpose of enabling the traveller / family to issue an EU Certificate of negative or positive COVID-19 test result.

Travellers, who decide to fill out the simplified form, will receive the PLF with their unique Quick Response (QR) code via email (the QR code will be provided in a link in the email).

The PLF can also be found on the Visit Greece app and at travel.gov.gr. It is strongly recommended that all visitors download the Visit Greece app (GDPR compliant) for free, prior to their arrival in Greece. ....less
